“Keeper of the Flame” portrays the second of two dazzling ‘dump and burns’ performed at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games as a part of the Closing Ceremony. This unusual non-military deployment of the F-111 strike aircraft signified the Olympic flame being plucked from Sydney Harbour and was flown by F/Lt Buttsworth and F/O Machan of 6 SQN RAAF in F-111G A8-271.
